Rezsia Alianora Thornton de Shandra

Rezsia Alianora was the third child born to Kelsia Thornton, and the first to Amos Thornton. Her two older sisters, Nikita Ephany and Carlotta Edwina, were twins born three years before from Kelsia's first pregnancy which occured as an aftereffect of an affair with Brice Thornguard. Rezs was followed by a fourth daughter, Heavyn Leigh, and the lone son, Aidan Robert. Niki and Carl were the only twins.
Rezs was quite a pretty child, her hair an even more vivid flame red than it's current shade, and her eyes a startling clear and deep blue, in opposition to the just as startling silvery grey-blue they are now. She was a loner of sorts and almost literally soaked up any news or tales of far-off lands, which explains her affinity for traveling. When Rezs was but eight years old, some rather drastic changes occured in her life.
It seems that Amos's obvious dissatisfaction with Kelsia had peaked, and Niki's prematurely womanly body had caught his attention. When Amos attempted to bed her, Niki reacted by defending herself with a dagger she kept under her pillow, ending up killing him. And turning the killing into an art of sorts. When Kelsia arrived at home that night and saw Amos, she screamed, and then saw to having everything cleaned up. Carl's reaction to the situation caused her to be placed into a mental asylum. Kelsia moved herself and the rest of the children to a new home near Silvanesti.
When Rezs reached the age of twenty-one, she left home. Travelling everywhere she could, she learned all she could about the lands she had heard of in her youth and others which she had not. Two years later, a few months after she turned twenty-three, she arrived in the small town of Nashra.
Nashra wasn't quite as small as it looked. Most of it was just underground, making it appear small. The rich dress of its people, and the stone they used in building their homes, fascinated Rezs. It was there in Nashra, during a stay that was longer than was usual for her, that she met Branton Meilyr de Shandra.
Bran was the town's most reknowned mason, the most adept at finding the right kind of stones for the buildings and shoring of underground rooms and tunnels, and for building and shaping them into the right shapes and forms without damaging the stone itself. It was to him she went to learn more of the unusual stones the Nashrians used.
To this day Rezs doesn't know just when it happened, but at some point during their association, she fell in love with Bran. Not too much longer after she realized, she learned he felt the same way. Five months later, they were married, and it seemed that Rezs was finally going to settle down. Unfortunately, she didn't know that an enemy from her past had been tracking her. And he had found her. And he waited.
Rezs and Bran's marriage was definitely a happy one. Half a year after they had married, Rezs had bore twins: a son, Kieran Meilyr, and a daughter, Krystala Myste, and they were followed two years later by Lydia Elyssa. They would be the only children she would ever have of Bran's, for almost one year later, the enemy that had been lying in wait struck.
The fight was short but brutal. Bran was killed and Rezs near-mortally injured before the enemy breathed his last breath. Sometime during the fight, the twins dissappeared. Rezs was devastated. When she was well enough to travel, Rezs packed some of the belongings from the house and left with Ly.
